On Wednesday, March 9, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, takes part in the celebration of birthday anniversary of Taras Shevchenko in "Mamaeva Sloboda" (2 Mykhaila Dontsia Str.)
M. Tomenko plans to take part in the prayer, opening of "Shablia "Kozaka Mamaia" publishing house by "Kozatska Spadkova Dukhovna Respublika" (Cossack Ancestral Spiritual Republic) and "Shevchenko Recitation."
Furthermore, M. Tomenko will present reedition of Mykhailo Chalyi´s book "Life and Creativity of Taras Shevchenko." It is one of first biographies of Kobzar, written by his friend M. Chalyi that was published for the last time in 1882. Book was published with the assistance of M. Tomenko´s Fund "Ridna Kraina" and Secretary of the Standing Commission of Kyiv Council on Education and Science Oleksii Davydenko.
